2008 Event Sponsors
Event
Synopsis
1. A special event created to encourage visitors to Cambria businesses,
learn more about Central Coast Wineries and as a fundraiser for the Cambria
Chamber of Commerce and Allied Arts Association.

The Veterans' Hall
acts as the “Hub” of the event over the weekend. Additional
Wine Tasting and Art/Wine related activities will be held at the Joslyn
Center on Saturday and at many of the participating businesses.
- Friday will open the event with visitors encouraged
to visit local participating businesses to acquire opportunities at
dozens of raffle prizes.
- Friday evening an Event Kick-Off Party offering
wine
& food pairing, entertainment, preview of the Art Show and
special raffle prize packages will be held at the Veterans' Hall.
- Saturday offers Wine Tasting at the Veterans'
Hall & the Joslyn Center, and Art Show/Silent
Auction at the Veterans' Hall (local artists) and more
opportunities for guests to acquire raffle tickets by visiting participating
businesses throughout the village.
- Saturday evening offers four additional venues with
artists, food and wine pairing and continued entertainment. See 2008
descriptions below.
- The Art Show is also a Silent Auction. All local artists
are invited to participate.
- Raffle drawings will be held at the end of the event
on Sunday at the Artist's Faire.
3. 2008 offered six venues:
FRIDAY
- Kick Off Party Friday night “Art & Wine & All
That Jazz” (Veterans' Hall): Food and wine
pairing offered by Cambria's finest restaurants and local wineries.
The Moonstone Beach Bar & Grill - Robin’s Restaurant
- Indigo Moon - Black Cat Bistro
Mr. D's Catering- Cambria Pines Lodge Restaurant will be pairing
with Bianchi Winery, Moonstone Cellars, Lion's Peak, Sculptera,
Triviti & Jan Kris wineries.
FRIDAY & SATURDAY
- Main Event Friday, Saturday & Sunday (Veterans'
Hall, Joslyn Center & throughout the Village): Beginning Friday
morning; Visitors are given a wine glass, souvenir cork screw and a
program/passport* document which offers access to the Art Show & Wine
Tastings along with opportunities to win great raffle prizes by visiting
participating shops. Passport holders also have access to the Artist's
Faire on Sunday which offers a display of Artist's work and reproduction,
for sale & wine tasting.
SATURDAY EVENING
- Saturday Dessert & Wine Pairing at
Fermentations 5 pm to 10 pm. $5
-Saturday Art & Wine After Dark at Harmony
Cellars - 5:30-7:30pm: Join Harmony Cellars as we celebrate the talented artists
of San Luis Obispo County with fine wine, artisan cheeses and art.
Renowned glassblower, Carl Radke of Phoenix Studios, will return to
Harmony for the evening to display his unique glass artwork. No reservations
required. $7 per person.
-"The Art of Wine Tasting" At Moonstone
Cellars 6:00 pm
- 7:30pm Join winemaker, Todd Clift for an educational event
of seeing, swirling, sniffing, and sipping! Learn how to taste and
evalute wine like a pro. Reserve now, space limited to 20 persons.
Light appetizers will be served with many wines and sensory experiences.
$20 per person.
SUNDAY
- Artist's Faire Sunday (Veterans'
Hall): Artist's show and sell their work and reproductions. Barbecue
and wine tasting available to add to your enjoyment! Barbecue tickets
available on site.
*The program/passport document serves as the guests “passport”
to the various venues as well as used to validate visits to the participating
business in town, This document will include ads purchased by sponsors
and participating businesses. Visitors will be encouraged to pick
up their “Passport” on Friday a.m. to allow them more
time to visit participating businesses.
4. Tickets for the event would
make an excellent gift or “perk”
for employees or customers.
5. Participating businesses are supplied with a
small rubber stamp used to imprint the “Passports” which
validates the visitors have seen their business. Each validation earns
the visitor an opportunity to win one of many raffle prizes including
a grand prize wine tour and weekend in Cambria. Extra Raffle
tickets are awarded for any purchase made at a participating business
(receipts are counted to validate extra tickets).
6. All participating businesses will have a poster
placed in their front window and a banner or bouquet of balloons at
their entrance to alert guests the business is part of the Festival.
The poster will include a list of corporate sponsor names.
- Businesses may allow space for an artist to set up
an easel and/or display their own work
- Businesses are encouraged to offer wine tasting,
refreshments and/or shopping specials on site
- A professionally designed “Program/Passport Booklet” will
be offered to all visitors. Ads are included for all Corporate Sponsors.
In addition all Corporate Sponsors will be listed on the event web
